• There are several ways how noxious gases end up in shipping containers. First of all, sometimes the goods inside containers need to be fumigated for pest control. Gases such as methylbromide, phosphine and sulfurylfluoride are used to fumigate these goods. Furthermore, gases can evaporate out of goods or packaging materials.
